Built in 1965 by carpenter Ken Dunham, with help from Errol Brown (NZFS). The interior was lined by Peter Southee in 1970. It is named after NZFS hunter, Stan Beckett, who suggested to his boos, John von Tunzelman that a hut was needed on the eastern side of the Waterloo Burn. Edit Hut
