Built by the NZFS around 1959, it is one of the earliest versions of the S70 hut designs, although it is 400mm longer & has 2 extra bunks. It was renovated by Backcountry Trust volunteers in December, 2020. They replaced the roof, repainting it inside & out, repaired the fireplace & chimney, removed the attached woodshed & built a standalone one nearby. Edit Hut
