A usable hut but a bit grim with an earth floor & solo window. It was built in 1949 by the Peart brothers, Hector & Roderick, for their sluicing operations, post war. The hut is clad & roofed with riveted steel sheets. Edit Hut

A bit draughty. That paneless multiframed window needs to have the perspex panels treatment that Buster Hut has had. Only 2 mattresses there for the 5 bunks. Perhaps the 4WD'ers have taken some. We drank the water from the pond outlet.

Not too bad compared to some other huts in the area. There is a wee pond nearby but I wouldn't drink from it
