Built in early 2020, it replaces the old Casey Hut which burnt down on 2 or 3 October, 2015. The 2020 version is 800m closer to the Poulter River & on a higher site than its predecessor. It has expansive views up & down the valley. It has been funded thanks to the generous donations from Mr Robert Birks & Dr Sharon English. It was officially opened (via a virtual opening due to Covid 19) on 22 August, 2020. Edit Hut
Busy hut, went on the Saturday of a long weekend and 8 slept in tents. Plenty of beautiful spots to camp. Nice overnight walk in and out over the Casey-Binser.
