Notes
Built in the 1930's by Tom Cockburn using timber & material salvaged from the former Vernon's Hotel, a kilometre south, which served the gold mining community in the Whitecombe Creek area well into the 1920's, including the Chinese miners in the 'Canton Claim'. The hut burnt down in suspicious circumstances. It was located on the Glenaray / Whitecomb pastoral lease. It was replaced by 'Christies Hut No. 3'. Edit Hut
