Notes
Built in the 1980's by Lands & Survey Dept to replace 'Crawford Junction Hut (old)', which co-existed with this hut until being removed by DOC in 2006. This current hut is a wooden cladded structure, the inside walls & floor are timber-lined, & it has a spacious veranda at the front. In 2018, DOC did a good round of maintenance & site clearance, replacing the rat-chewed roof paper & insulation, & they replaced the old woodburner with one that sits in the corner of the hut. Feb., 2025, saw 4 DOC Hokitika staff replace the roof. Edit Hut
