Established in 2012 to replace a former 2-bunk biv that was relocated (see 'Grant Burn Bivvy'). It is an open & unlocked, 3-bunk, biodiversity hut which is part of DOC's trapping network. It is located in a small clearing on the west bank of Crombie Stream. Edit Hut
This hut was still here in 2020 and being used as part of DOC's trapping programme. There were no plans to remove or relocate it. The hut at Grant Burn was also present that week and being used for the same trapping programme. It may be that a previous hut was relocated - but in Sept 2020 there were huts on both sites.
