The track that loops around the gorge starts at about 700m elevation, climbs steeply for about 100m, and then sidles for approximately 1.5km to join the valley 1km before the Biv (see track in the photos). The track is marks with pink flags and cairns. The floor of the Biv is covered with three layers of mattresses, each about 1cm thick. Took me 2h from the main valley.

No mattresses. The door is held by a rock. A fallen tree narrowly missed the hut recently. The route up the creek requires a climb to get above a gorge.
