Built in approximately 1962 as a standard S70 6-bunk design with an open fire. It was repainted with the help of volunteers in the summer of 2012/2013. In early Sept., 2020 as part of the 'Jobs for Nature' programme, a party of 4 from Murchison based rafting company 'Ultimate Descents' & Rob Brown of the Back Country Trust, replaced the roof, underlay, purlins & lead-head nails. They added sarking & a chimney cap, painted the exterior, & built a woodshed from the old roofing iron. Edit Hut
