Built in 1986 by the NZFS & members of the Motueka Tramping Club. The hut was precut, assembled, & then dismantled. On 28 Nov., 1986 the NZFS flew the hut & men in to assemble the hut on site. It is named after local Motupiko butcher, Francis (Frank) H. Flanagan who ran a few sheep on the 'Baton' runs. It replaces the original hut that Frank built in Easter, 1934. Edit Hut
