Notes
Built in the 1930's, the verandah was added sometime in the 1960's, while the original open fire was removed in the 1970's. January to May, 2022, saw the hut completely restored by volunteers from multiple groups, led by the NZDA Southern Lakes Branch who kick-started the project by re-piling the entire hut, removal of the old wood burner & laying the foundation for the reinstatement of the historic chimney cavity for a new wood burner. The roof & ceiling sarking was replaced, the wooden windows restored, the walls lined with ply, followed by the interior being re-modelled back to its original layout, including wall sarking linings, & a recycled T&G rimu floor.
