Notes
This is the second of two huts on Gouland Downs. This hut was built in 1926 by Robert Clouston. It originally consisted of malthoid over bush-poles, a dirt floor & an open fire. The hut was reportedly derelict in 1934 & it was subsequently rebuilt in 1936 by Harvey & Flowers on behalf of the Collingwood County Council, with it measuring 12" x 10". In 1966 the hut was renovated & extended to 13-bunks, until the bunk capacity was reduced to 8.. This is a 'Great Walk' hut & needs to be booked in advance, year-round. Edit Hut

Good little stopover en route to Perry Saddle - Don't miss the cave closeby! It's basically under the hut. My mate and I went into the cave and were yelling out to one another and a lady by the hut was laying in the grass and she could hear our voices underground and thought she was losing her mind! 😆🤭
