Notes
The one hut remaining at Green Gate Huts is in excellent preservation, & was possibly originally a gold-miners residence & then later as a musterers hut. The ruins of the other original hut can be seen as a rectangular shape formed by grassy mounds nearby. This hut is now on part of the shared-use 'Coronet Loop Trail', which officially opened on 5 March, 2022. The hut is maintained by the Queenstown Tramping & Historical Society & is available for use, although as of late March, 2022, it was still being worked on. 'Queenstown Trails' advise toilets will be installed soon. Edit Hut

Beautiful old stone hut. Station installing mattresses and new door plus outside long drop, all for public use. Thanks Coronet Peak Station and for a great new MTB track..
