Built by the NZFS in 1973 as a standard S70 6-bunk design, it was NZFS hut #514. Its original open fire was replaced with a wood burner. There are 2 gas stoves in the hut. As of late January, 2025, the hut has been repainted & has 6 new grey mattresses. Edit Hut
