Notes
This was NZFS hut # 408, built circa 1959, with the materials dropped from the bomb rack of a Cessna 180. It was previously known as Rock Camp Hut. Prior to the hut being built, the site was used by rabbiters, government hunters & musterers from Glen Alton Station as they used to graze roughly 300-400 sheep (wethers) out there. There was tentage rolled up & stowed on site & there was/ is a pack track out to the Jam. It may be hard to follow now because after air-dropping of supplies to huts became the norm, horses were no longer used. Edit Hut

Didn't notice much of a track in but I guess the goats help to keep it clear!
