Notes
Built as a base hut for Lord John Jellicoe (Governor General of NZ: 1920-24) for when he went on hunting expeditions. it was the second of three huts on the site. This hut sat on conservation land but was accidentally burnt down in the 1990's but quickly rebuilt by members of the Rakaia NZDA. Post tenure review in 2014 a small section of public land, including Jellicoe Hut was surveyed off & is now part of Manuka Point Station. Edit Hut
