Easy access via the upper plateau to the north of Jones Stream. About 800m before the hut, there is a marked trail along the edge of the forest to bypass the scrub. According to the intention book, a possum was recently trapped in the hut and caused a mess, defecating and peeing inside. Cleaning was done, but the stains on the beds are unappealing.
