Notes
Built in 1970 by the NZFS, it is named after James Gordon Kennedy, an Internal Affairs deer culler, killed in an avalanche on 4 August, 1955. December, 2023, saw Shawn Burt & his team, from Southern Cross Asbestos Removal, remove the roof in December, 2023, & the following weekend, a team of 3 volunteers put the new roof on, expand the verandah, cleaned the water tank, washed the cladding down, & install a Rifleman nesting box to house the full time inhabitants.
