Notes
This Lake Howden hut was built in the winter of 1982 to replace an older hut [see "Lake Howden Hut (old)"]. The hut was hit by a landslide at 1:30 am on 4 February, 2020. It was so badly damaged that DOC deemed it unsafe to repair & it was "closed". On 7 December, 2020, DOC announced it had been demolished & removed, with the site remediated & the track realigned.
