Notes
This was the second of three huts named 'Lewis' in the vicinity. It was built in 1938 by George Ray & Athol Newman. It was already dilapidated by 1949 & it was replaced in 1965. It was reportedly located by a bend in the track near a creek. The hut is named after surveyor & explorer, Charles Lewis. The photo added is courtesy of Claire Ward who contributed it to the West Coast Recollect history site. Edit Hut
