Notes
Owned & maintained by volunteers from the Rakiura Hunter Camp Trust (RHCT). It was built in October, 2011 in the 'Upper Lords River Block'. It is on the true right, 300m downstream from the falls. It cost $36,574 to build due to the significant helicopter time involved in ferrying material to the site. Builders were John DeLury, Kerry Butson, Nigel Hodge & Neville Miller (Southland NZDA), & Hacky Sims & Mike DeLury (West Coast NZDA). The hut has a small pot belly & taking dry firewood with you is recommended. $30.00 per person per stay (10 days max stay). Bookings are required. Edit Hut
