Notes
A well-maintained, historic 4-bunk hut, built in 1941 between Timaru Creek & the Dingle Burn. The hut is owned by Dingle Burn Station (DOC website) but the land it lies within is part of Hawea Con. Area (DOC website). It appears the hut is being co-managed given the number of DOC signs inside the hut & a sign at the entrance to Timaru Creek states the hut is open for public use. Thanks Dingle Burn Station. The hut is unique in that it has 6-bunks, 2 doubles & 2 singles, but only 4 single mattresses. It has received a new chimney in recent years. Edit Hut
