This is the third 'Mountain House' structure associated with the Wellington Tramping & Mountaineering Club (WTMC or "Tongue & Meats"). It was built by club members from March to April 2003 as a replacement for Mountain House Hut No. 2, which was located further down the side of the ridge. Edit Hut

This is a nice, new well made shelter but it is just a shelter so don;t go there thinking it is a serviced hut.
