Located down in the Nina Valley beside the Duchess Stream, it was very dark & damp. It was removed & replaced in 2002, by a newer hut, higher up near point 761m; see 'Nina Hut'. The concrete slab of the hut is still visible. Edit Hut

All that remains is a moss covered concrete slab with bits of metal lying around.

This hut was one I will never forget, I used it a few times in the late seventies/early eighties, it had a concrete floor and sack bunks and a terrible fire and was home to millions of sand flies, and man could it get cold!
