Notes
Built by Keith Rogers & co. in the early 2000’s, it was a biodiversity hut for contractors, DOC staff & volunteers working on the Te Urewera Mainland Island Project. The hut was locked but there was an unlocked 4-bunk annex available. The artwork adorning the hut was fantastic. It burnt down in suspicious circumstances on or about 29 November, 2022, despite a high court injunction order protecting it. Edit Hut
