Notes

The second of two huts in the vicinity, it replacs the former 'Porters Creek Hut (old)'. This second hut was formerly the 'Right Branch Wairoa Hut' which was removed (& not replaced) by DOC in March, 2011. DOC added an extension to the hut after it was relocated. 'Porters Creek Hut (old)' was relocated to private land in Tasman & was reportedly being renovated. Edit Hut

Enjoyed our hut clean up and hope FMC run the Love Our Huts campaign again - brilliant idea ! Track not as easy as we expected and the Marlborough heat was brutal with very little shade but a very satisfying trip.

Good sized porch and comfortable inside. The local pine trees are getting away and need dealing to.
