Built in 1955. Ted Shields & friends have done a lot of work restoring the hut. it is a real old-school hut with 3 uncomfortable-looking canvas bunks. Edit Hut

Great lunch spot, not sandfly proof but it did cut down numbers by about 2/3 😂 glad they keep these historic ones.
Bunks are sturdy canvas stretched on bunk frames, strong but stretched down a bit like hammocks.
