Notes
An unofficial hut in the East Waiotauru (Snowy) catchment. According to the hut book, it was built in the early 1980's by the Bergman brothers & chopper pilot Grant Ward. The floor is squares of galvanised flat iron. The hut has 2 bunks & 5 DOC style mattresses which are usually stored upright. One bunk has a leak above it. There is a bucket hanging underneath the leak. The hut has hut gummies, chairs, a wooden seat, an axe, a water bucket, a pail of rat poison, a yellow bait station, a steel kitchen bench, a spade, a broom, some pots & pans, cutlery, & old crockery. There is someone visiting & looking after the hut several times a year. The exterior has been repainted, all the windows are intact/repaired & the door has 2 new latches. Edit Hut

Hut in good order. Very neat and tidy. Great little hut with few visitors.
