Notes
Built by the NZFS in 1962, it was made water-tight in late November, 2014, by volunteers, Rob Brown, John Abbott & Geoff Spearpoint. It was the first hut restored under the Outdoor Recreation Consortium / Back Country Trust (BCT) arrangement. November, 2024, saw 4 BCT volunteers completely rebuild the biv, including installing cavity batons atop the building wrap, an aluminium window & replacement of the open fire with a small wood burner.
