Built by the NZFS in the late 1960's as a S70 6-bunk design with an open fire to replace 'Starveall Hut (old)', which it coexisted with for 20 years. In 2006, the hut was repainted & the open fire removed & replaced with a woodburner. The hut was refurbished by DOC in 2010. Edit Hut
