Notes
It was built by James Dunery in 1897 & was always owned by the pastoral lessee, Rees Valley Station, although at some point the Otago Tramping & Mountaineering Club took over the maintenance of it. The hut was demolished in 2016, by Iris Scott of Rees Valley Station, as it had become quite dilapidated & the tramping club were no longer interested in maintaining it. Unfortunately, like many huts that can be driven to it was suffering from the attentions of idiots, thus the Scott family made the decision to remove the hut. The site of the hut is not available for use without prior consent. Edit Hut
