This hut, along with the Moa Stream hut, probably offers the best options in the area. Very well located, the view of the valley is beautiful, and the hut is in very good condition. However, the toilet is full (really full). The pit will need to be pumped, or a new hole will need to be dug VERY soon. The route between this hut and the Moa Stream hut via Moa Saddle takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.
