Built in 1966 by members of the Heretaunga Tramping Club who own the hut. March, 2022, saw John Montgomery & 3 others relocate the toilet onto a tanalised platform, above a monstrous hole, which was dug by the team. They primed the window, applied 2 top coats, cleaned the mattresses & hut interior & painted the front door.
