It once had an open fire along the wall between the two louvre windows, which is where the door now is. The open fire was replaced with a wood burner. At some point a covered deck has been added. Charles Archibald reports that when he visited in January, 1964, the hut had a cross cut saw, axe, camp ovens, billies, & an extensive first aid kits, including suturing gear. Edit Hut
