Notes
This was the second of three 'Angelus' huts & it was designed by NLNP ranger, George Lyon. The first hut was a 4-bunk tin hut built in 1956 by the Nelson Ski Club. It was replaced with a 16-bunk hut by the Dept of Lands & Survey in 1970. DOC extended the hut in 1992, adding 8 bunks, thereby increasing its capacity to 24-bunks. It was eventually replaced by the third & current hut, during the summer of 2009/2010, which opened on 21 April, 2010. It was demolished by a combined team from DOC, Airforce & Army. Edit Hut
