Built by DOC in 2009, it replaces the original Masterton Tramping Club built 6-bunk hut on the same site. In 2013, DOC enlarged the hut by adding a bunkroom. Booking is required year round. Edit Hut

Fantastic large sized hut, nice and clean when arrived, we were the only 2 staying that night so got the pick of the rooms, easy walk in. Looks like a couple outdoor camp fires have been made for the evening.
