A private hut, owned by Alpine Recreation but with a basic public shelter at the end of the building for emergency use only. Good camping sites are available 750m northeast of the hut at the end of the flat section of Ball Ridge. Water bottles may be filled & the unlocked toilet may be used. Edit Hut
