Thanks to Rotorua tramping club for cleaning up this hut. Had to leave the bag if rubbish they had collected as too much for us to carry out also. Hope someone choppers in soon so can finally be removed. Please pack out what u pack in so the rest of us don't have to clean up your crap!

No 3 hut was there when I visited in August 1985 so the notes info of 1995 built must be a typo.

Really nice, large hut on the Te Pua-a-Tāne Circuit. It even had solar lights set up, but they only worked when the sun was out! See more at https://youtu.be/eTFA2PcXdn0.

Best hut of the entire Te-Pua-a-Tane circuit, credit to regular hut dwellers. Sad I needed to press on to complete in 4 days but would love to have stayed. See more @ http://www.youtube.com/c/OutdoorsmanDave
