It was formerly used as a cookhouse for the NZFS at Gwavas Forest Camp. It was relocated in 2006 to replace the former 'Makaroro Hut' (which itself was relocated & renamed, becoming 'Poutaki Hut'). Before being relocated, 'Craigs Hut' was almost a road end hut, as it was only 20 minutes from the Makaroro car park. Edit Hut
