It was unintentionally burnt down in 1938, but rebuilt in the same year, with the timber & iron packed-out by horse from the homestead. In 2005, it was completely re-lined & extended. It was the largest of the 3 huts used on the 'Four Peaks High Country Track', before this part of the station was sold. The hut is now part of Mt Walker Station & the hut remains private, & permission to visit it, must be obtained in advance.Location:
