It has 24 bunks and the category of Backcountry Hut.Built in 1900, when a gold dredge was built on Dredge Flat, with all material hauled by wagons from the Glenorchy wharf, including a complete saw milling unit. The hut was originally separate units, which were rebuilt into one hut by the Tourism Department in the mid to late 1940's, in order to accommodate, 24 people. The hut was still being used at Christmas 1962. It was removed just after the construction of ‘Daleys Flat Hut’ in 1976.Location:
