Just to complicate matters for a while the hut was shown as being on the true right of Elliott Stream. Perhaps there have been 3 huts there!

The old hut was marked on maps going way back to 1909. Before that there is no map of this area in existence! The old hut was spelt as Elliott Hut like the stream. It is shown as on the true left of that little tributary off the stream that saddles with Lizard Stream. Back in the day a 4WD track was marked through to Tyler Pt. Worth doing a circuit in there...
