This is the fourth (& only standing) hut on Grassy Flat. It was built by DOC in April, 2005. The hut is also a memorial to Christopher Clarke who died near Browning Pass in March, 2006. Edit Hut

Also the DOC time of 4hrs for Grassy Flat Hut is probably well over that now due to massive track washouts.
