Notes

This was the third of four huts on Grassy Flat. It was originally built as a 4-bunk hut with an open fire in 1958 by the NZFS. It was extended to 6 bunks in 1969 & in 1980 it was extended further, to 8 bunks, including a wood burner. It was removed & replaced with a newer hut (see 'Grassy Flat Hut' entry) by DOC in April, 2005. It has been restored on private property & is now a B & B, near Hokitika. Edit Hut
