The third of three Holly Huts to have been built in the vicinity. The first was built in 1900 from locally sourced Totara. It was replaced in 1936 by a 4-bunk hut, which was subsequently replaced in 1974 by this the third hut. Edit Hut

Great hut, nice facilities. Stayed as part of the Pouakai Circuit since Pouakai hut is under construction. Lots of young people, very social. Very tidy route up from North Egmont.
