The second of two 'Hooker's' on the mountain. It replaced the 1933, Mount Egmont Alpine Club (MEAC) built hut, named after prominent MEAC member, Leonard Owen Hooker (1873-1950). The hut was removed & replaced with this 'Hooker Shelter' in 1983. Edit Hut
