Another of the un-marked bivs in Tararua Forest Park. It was previously 'Cow Creek Bivvy', which sat beside the hut of the same name for many years. The biv was flown into its present site on 24 June, 1998, for goat control. Personnel present were Joe Hanson (DOC), Andy Guddup (crewman), Tim 'Crummie' Crum (local cop) & Duncan Sutherland (helicopter pilot), hence the name JACS Biv. It was built by Noel Fraser, Chris Main or Paul Gush in the 1960's for the NZFS. Edit Hut
