Built in circa 1958 to access the lodge, in essence, a ski club hut. The lodge was rebuilt in 2012 / 2013 as 'Leaning Lodge No. 2', unfortunately the rebuild did not comply with the NZ building code & the structure was labelled “unsafe”. A third version 'Leaning Lodge No. 3', located immediately adjacent to 'Leaning Lodge No. 2', has been built. Edit Hut
