In August, 2024, 'SimonJ' reports meeting two elderly deer stalkers at 'Mangatoetoe Hut'. Both chaps were in their 70's, & they recall as teenagers driving land rovers up the true right of Mangatoetoe Stream, via a series of farm tracks & the stream bed. The hut site is on private land & permission to visit must be obtained in advance.Location:
