Notes
Designed by Bob King in conjunction with the fishing club & Christchurch Tramping Club (CTC). Built in 1976 by members from the CTC & Lake Daniell Fishing Club. It was the third of four huts on the south/ south western terrace. It was removed in 2018 & replaced with the 'KĹŤhanga Atawhai - Manson Nicholls Hut', which was open for use, from March, 2020. The hut was named in honour of Phillip Nicholls, & Brian & Sharon Manson, who were killed by a landslide during Easter, 1974, while sheltering in the second of the four huts, 'Lake Daniell Fishing Club Hut'. Lunch at the hut with our tramping group. Ice cream afterwards at Springs Junction.
